Mounting a regulator directly onto a high purity gas cylinder has been normal practice since their introduction. In many situations, this has proven to be a safety hazard. Each time the gas in the cylinder is depleted, the regulator needs to be removed, placed somewhere securely while the cylinder is exchanged and then resecured to the full cylinder. This practice lends itself to many potential hazards; from the risk of the regulator being dropped and damaged, to the outlet tubing being continually flexed and stressed each time an empty cylinder is exchanged.

When repairing refrigeration / air conditioning piping, the internal area of the pipe should be purged with nitrogen to prevent oxidation around the internal joint during the brazing process. The Tesuco purge tools allow for a quick and easy positive seal for many different pipe dimensions. A positive seal for the nitrogen purge process reduces the amount of gas used and limits any ingress of air during the repair.
