For shielding gas pipelines it has been well established that
installing flowmeters only, provides inconsistent and inaccurate
flow to the welding machine. Regulated flowmeters ensure accurate
and steady gas supply no matter what pressure is in the pipeline or
in the cylinder. The pipeline can run at a higher pressure and the
outlet point delivers the exact pressure required at each point for
the flowmeter. This means that you get precise gas supply to each
machine, reducing re-works due to inconsistent gas pressure. It
also means a reduction in gas consumption against other systems
running at higher pressures with non-regulated flowmeters. Each
time gas flow is actuated here is a huge gas surge if the flowmeter
is not regulated. Installing a regulated flowmeter helps to
dramatically reduce this wasted gas.
